Specialists in building envelope commissioning and air tightness testing throughout New England, we have collaborated on projects such as schools, manufacturing plants, outpatient surgery, dormitories, offices, courthouses, banks, laboratories, multifamily housing, and military structures.  We have blower door tested buildings as large as 200,000 sf and as tall as 10 stories. We have tested hundreds of envelope details during construction and know how to make improvements to these details before it is too late and too costly to fix.  We have the knowledge, experience, and equipment to make envelope commissioning a smooth process for your project. We aim to help change the face of renewable energy by degrees.  We believe in enthusiastic action preceded by thorough planning.  Through efforts towards change in small degrees we can improve energy efficiency for the better.

Coming Up With Zero by Degrees

February 1 & 2, 2017

On Wednesday, February 1, Jon and Mike are presenting along with Andy Shapiro at the Better Buildings by Design Conference in South Burlington, VT at the Sheraton Conference Center.  They'll be giving their presentation "Sweating the (Enclosure) Details" on Wednesday afternoon. In this presentation, take a tour of some particularly elegant enclosure details, both on the page and in the field.  Explore the process behind selecting materials to match their strengths with the overall design. Finally, we will present design guidelines that can be employed to break down a difficult enclosure detail so that a solution can present itself. This presentation is recommended for builders and designers who already have experience with building enclosure design and construction.
